Recession Mama Michele Ashamalla: I'm not a big fan of malls. I would rather spend what little free time I have hanging out with my kids at a park or museum, or holed up with a book at home. In my previous life, I enjoyed sifting through the sale racks at department stores. Now, however, I do most of my shopping online, and I've found a fantastic way to browse the Web without spending hours checking out every site I like.

The website Shop It to Me is like a personal shopper. You will need to spend about twenty minutes inputting all of your preferences -- the sizes everyone you shop for wears, and every brand and style you like. You'll also have to decide how often you want to receive their e-mails. (If they ever become too burdensome, you can cancel or suspend them.)

When my first e-mail came, I couldn't believe it. Every single item was on sale! And in my size! And in a style I liked! If there were extra sale codes that could be applied, Shop It to Me listed them. When was the last time you went to a store and every single thing you liked fit you and was on sale?!

So far, I've used the site judiciously (a pair of shoes my husband needed; corduroys for my daughter). But I can see how it can be a little dangerous .... Try it out and see what you think!
