There's a Holiday App for That!

Too bad there's not an app that actually wraps the gifts for us. Now that'd be something! Take a look at five Google apps that are worth having this season:
1) Google Maps for Mobile
- Plot the optimal path for errands, soccer practice and longer trips.
- Get live traffic info and turn-by-turn directions.
- Ready to explore outdoors with the kids? Find biking and walking directions to make sure you all stay safe.
Find anything you need, with one easy button. Leave the typing on the phone's keyboard to the kids!
3) Google Sky Map
- Amaze your kids with your knowledge of the stars and bring the solar system into your hand.
- Kids bored in the car? Send them into space on a quest to find all eight planets!
- Tired of "Are we there yet?" Show restless riders what "there" looks like.
- Travel to all seven continents -- without leaving your seat.
- Price-compare your holiday shopping! Scan a barcode in the store and find the item online for less.
- Be an informed shopper: Find product reviews and information for exactly what you have in your hand.
So sick of apps!

Geeze, a Google ad. Most of these aren’t even apps. Yes, I realize websites can technically be called “web apps”, but that’s misleading to say the least.
