Momlogic's Julie: I recently had the chance to visit Cabo San Lucas and was pleasantly surprised by how kid-friendly it is!
I traveled to the Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa, a perfect place to take children. My room had a full kitchen, which I always appreciate when traveling. I don't enjoy eating out every single meal with my kiddos, who can be on the fidgety side. So being able to cook a quick lunch or breakfast is a great perk for me. (For those who don't want to cook on vacation, there's an all-inclusive option, too. Calima Restaurant was especially delicious.)
The hotel is beachfront, but has a great family pool. Kids will also love the miniature golf course. And the kids' club was surprisingly affordable. It's a great place to put the kids for a few hours while you enjoy a little "me time" at the Thalassotherapy Spa. (My massage was awesome!)
I had been a little nervous about traveling to Mexico, but always felt safe there. Everyone at the resort made me feel at home, and I met several families who had been coming year after year.
The resort is very centrally located. It's just a five-minute walk to the marina, the town and the water taxis. I scored some great bargains in the town, including an adorable purse made of gum wrappers -- for only 12 bucks!
There are many wonderful excursions available. While there, I went snorkeling and kayaking through Cabo Expeditions. The water is so blue! All excursions can be booked directly through the concierge at Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa. I didn't have the chance to visit Cabo Dolphins, but I heard that the "swim with the dolphins" experience is ideal for families with kids.
I can't wait to go back again!
