Were kids allowed at your baby shower? Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated on Sunday night with a posh, adults-only event at The Conservatory Grill at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills, reports

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon

The couple arrived at 7 PM to a beautifully decorated room full of pink roses, blue hydrangeas and pink and blue balloons -- in honor of their expected twins, a girl and a boy.

"Mariah had the best time at her shower," a source tells "She was very touched by how nicely everything turned out and excited about all the generous gifts she received. She has been feeling a bit tired and worn out lately, but the shower was an event that she really enjoyed and that made her very happy. Now she can't wait to meet her baby twins!"

Mimi's favorite gift was a book full of letters and well wishes from her little "lambs," what Mariah calls her most dedicated fans.

No kids at my wedding
No kids at my baby shower

Kids at kid parties or family parties only.

Yes! Not only were kids invited (and encouraged to come), I had a co-ed baby shower and it turned out great! Why shouldnt men and kids be involved, Especially if you have children already! What a great way to get your other children involved! What else are you suppose to do with your other children?

yes only because I was asked to my face if they could bring a toddler. I’m sure they would have understood if I had said no but since it was family I felt guilty not to say yes

I’ve never been to a baby shower where kids were invited… didn’t invite kids to mine either… I guess it’s the norm around here for it to be women only.

This weblog seems to get a large ammount of visitors. How do you promote it? It gives a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something real or substantial to post about is the most important factor.
