I would like to be able to win this for my mother, she is a wonderful person and my best-friend. She has raised me and my siblings with my step-father, with unconditional love, never judging me nor my siblings. She has always told us that we can do whatever we put our minds to and always incouraged us to strive for more for our lives. We are not a wealthy family, we struggle everyday to get by but my mother has never let us think that we are any different than any other person out there. Wether it be a rich person or a poor person. I remember one time I ask her why this man was standing on the side of the road with a sign that said, “Will work for food,” she told me that the man was just like us he just was having a hard time finding work and because of that he had to stand there trying to get help because he could not find work and he was trying to feed his family. That no matter who you are just because he was out there did not make him different than us he just was not as fortunate as we were to have a home and food in our bellies. She also told me that the Lord would provide for him, I did not understand what she meant at the time but I soon seen what she meant because there was a truck in front of us that picked him up and took him across the street to McDonald’s and we seen the gentleman walk into McDonald’s with the homeless guy. So my mother then decided to take me in show me what she meant and so we then went in and seen that the guy in the truck was buying this gentleman something to eat. I seen then that was unbelieveable, this guy did not have to do this for this homeless man and we did not have it as bad as I thought we did and from that I realized that we were very lucky to have a home and that I had my mommy and daddy with me. My mother does what she can to get us what her and my father can. We do not have a big home, we live in a trailor and we do not have a lot things that other kids have but I look at some of my friends that do have all that they want and they are still sad because they do not have the relationship with their parents like we do. Their moms and dads give them what they want and not what they need and that is communication with their parents. My mom always is there for me when I need her, if I had a bad day at school she is there, if I have a bad dream she is there and if I am scared she is there. I always have my mom and my best-friend with me all the time, I can tell her anything. I wish that all girls and boys had what I have because I do not know what I would do if I didn’t have her to talk to and to cry on her shoulder. So this is why I think my mommy should win this prize, she deserves it. I just can not get it for her on my own. So please think about it and maybe if I pray real hard she will win. Thank you so much for listening to what I had to say. Thank you Ellen. Your friend, Marilyn Monroe

My mom has saved my life in so many ways. I used to be a drunk and am now a recovering alcoholic..but she never gave up on me. 5 years later, I’m broke, lol, but proud to say..I’m still alive. I jumped a 50 foot fence at the age of 22 and am now 26 and don’t know how I made it, except God. God and my mom never gave up. I’d love if you could give her something that I can’t. I haven’t been able to provide her or my family with b-day presents, nothing, ever since I started drinking and I’ll always regret my past, but I’m looking forward to the future. I don’t have much, but my life, and my mom. I’m trying to win the car, but if not, can I please win this? for my mom? Please don’t forget about me. I’m trying so hard in life, and I feel like I’m getting no where. It’s depressing being alone and broke and 26 at your parents, but atleast they love me to still have me in their house, and they just lost their job also. But I can say..I am thankful no matter how depressed I get, that daily, I wake up. I wish my mother to wake up with something from you and also me, I guess! Please Ellen. My mom and dad are loseing everything now, and helped me before. This would make her and me so happy. Please? I love you Ellen! If that maybe helps? lol. I do love you but please..can she have this?

I am the mom of three boys. I raised my boys myself for the most part. Both biological fathers opted out of their lives. When little I always told them they didn’t need to buy me mother’s day gifts, but cards would be appreciated. Well, the only one that really remembers me for mother’s day is my youngest son, who was born with down syndrome and lives in a house three blocks from me with two other handicapped young men. I don’t like shopping, so I don’t buy myself nice girly things. So, it may sound selfish, but I’d like to win this for myself, for all the selfless things I did for my boys.

Ellen, you are the greatest. Not only are you very funny, intellegent and caring, but you are blesed through god to bless others less fortunate. You are a blessing to humanity. I would like to be entered into your Mother’s Day Giveaway, for my daughter Alicia. She has just had her 3rd child, Aubrey Elizabeth (2 wks old), and is in need of most baby things. She is a very humble person and would never ask for anything. She is very active in her Church, and is an Awana’s Teacher for children. Awana’s is sort of like scouts where the kids earn badges for their vests. However they earn the badges by learning the scriptures of god and recite the verses to receive a badge. Her 5 yr old daughter(Mya)won all her badges in 2 weeks.

Please enter my loving, caring and beautiful daughter in your give-away program. (ps. this would be for the baby things on today’s show)

Thanks Ellen, We Love You!!!

I’m a single mother with three kids and I have two part-time jobs. I have two kids in diapers and I would love to beable to give my kids a better life then I had when I was a child. It is hard and sometimes I’m tried of fighting to keep everything going. I would love to get the blessing from you. I never get time for myself and sometimes I need that. I would really like to have a chance to pamper myself.
