Susan LeFevre escaped jail, changed her name and began a new, hidden life as Marie Walsh, mother of three. Now Walsh has authored a memoir, "A Tale of Two Lives: The Susan LeFevre Fugitive Story," in which she shares her story about events that led to creating a new identity.

Marie appeared on "Today" this morning with her two daughters, who seem remarkably mature, having found out years later about their mother's secret past.

Marie, who hid her secret from her family for 30 years, appeared on "Today" this morning with her two daughters.

Momlogic wants to know -- would you feel betrayed by your mother if you found out she had a secret life? Could you ever trust her again?

I’m a bit sceptical about this. There have been a spate of biographies recently that have turned out to be rejected works of fiction. Coming out like this opens a whole host of questions including, most importantly, won’t the police now arrest her and take her back to jail?

As for my mother having secrets, I’d actually be happy if it turned out she was more interesting than I think she is. She did not, after all, live her life with the sole intention of producing me.
