Single Mom Seeking: At momlogic, we believe that every day should be Mother's Day.

But let's face it: It doesn't always pan out that way for most of us. So here's the go-ahead to make the most of it on May 9th ... without using the tried-and-true tactic of phoning the in-laws and telling them that you're desperate:

1) Hire a sitter and go OUT. Even better, join a local childcare co-op so that you have a regular group of trusted moms whom you can lean on when you need some alone time. One of our favorites is HiveMoms: When you log on to this nationwide site, all the profiles of members or existing co-ops near you pop up. Easy ... and free!

2) Go on a little shopping spree. Yes, skip the children's department.

3) Put a "do not disturb" sign on your door and spend the day in your PJs, reading a juicy memoir. A couple of our favorite memoirs that are NOT about motherhood? "Eat, Pray, Love," by Elizabeth Gilbert, and "The Glass Castle," by Jeannette Walls.

4) Make a "wish card" for your sweetheart of things that are simple and doable, but oh-so-satisfying. It might begin with, "Coffee in bed -- but not TOO early" and end with, "Watching a romantic comedy with you and a bowl of popcorn."

5) Enlist another mom to hang out with you for the day. It could be your own mom, your sister or a friend. Do something you both LOVE. A long walk on the beach? An afternoon at the spa? A makeover at the mall?

So tell us: How are you spending Mother's Day?
