I Had Needles Coming Out of My Eye Sockets

Meredith: Yay Me!!! I have gotten a confirmed LH surge from my First Response Ovulation Test and my OB/GYN. Not to mention a pretty hefty-sized follicle to work with. My doctor did a pelvic ultrasound (fun) to confirm. I was a bit unsure that I had actually had my surge, because it was really early in my cycle and the sticks were some days dark and some days not as dark. Ugggh!! Have I mentioned before that I am pee stick challenged? Well I am. Some days I see two lines and some days I don't. I honestly have to get second and third opinions. But, this time a professional (and not a psychic professional) confirmed it. Needless to say, my husband and I have been getting it on before my surge and since my surge. We are like freakin' bunny rabbits. Only a few people have mentioned that I am walking funny.

I also tried something new this month to aid my fertility: acupuncture. I have video proof of my latest endeavor. I have to say, it was very interesting to speak with this Chinese Medicine doctor and get some new tips and tricks. Did you know to increase your chances of getting pregnant you should not drink or eat anything iced or cold during your period? Me either. Also, did you know that if you want to get pregnant you should not wash your hair during your period? Me either. I guess you learn something new every day. After the Chinese Medicine doctor did a brief history, looked at my tongue, and took my pulse in all sorts of ways, he broke out the needles. I have to say I was a little nervous at that point. I mean, where was he going to put those things and how many were going to be necessary to get me pregnant? OK. I had needles coming out of my head, my eyeball socket (not kidding), my stomach, hands, legs, feet, toes, ears. I was a human porcupine. Whatever works, right? If you are wondering if it hurt, my answer is "not much." I would say it feels like a little prick, over and over again. You learn to forget about it and think about getting pregnant. The needles were left in for 30 minutes and I was in the dark, so I am not sure if they are going to be all that visible in the video.

So, I tried a few new things this month and am hopeful that I will get pregnant (my psychic is too). I am thinking positive thoughts and have told myself if it happens, great, and if not ... there's always next month. I have to admit my husband and I have been having a great time trying.

Yup, I did acupuncture for fertility too… for about a year. If nothing else it was very relaxing. My acupuncturist also gave me a weekly supply of herbs for fertility that I had to brew. Good Luck!

Since I know you suffer migraines like me, I am curious if the acupuncture has helped with those at all? Nothing like a migraine while trying to conceive huh? GOOD LUCK!!! I’m rooting for you!
