Meredith: So, I have been peeing on sticks morning, noon and night so I don't miss my surge and so far nothing. I'll keep trying. I know I should be getting close. It's so frustrating because last month I had my surge between day 8-10. This month I am already on day 11 and still no surge. Why isn't getting pregnant easy? I really wish the stork still delivered babies on request. That would make the process much less stressful. Imagine a world with stork deliveries ... just like the movie "Up." Sigh. But, alas, I have to do it the old-fashioned way ... good 'ole-fashioned SEX.

To double the frustration, I just read online the odds of conceiving are only like 20% each time. Well, I have been getting busy at the right time every month for the past year ... I guess I shouldn't play the Lotto any time soon. My luck is sub-par, I guess. That's not to say that I am not holding out hope. When you are trying to get pregnant all you've got is HOPE.

I am excited to get my surge and get busy. Not to say my husband and I haven't been practicing. We have! Practice makes perfect. Hopefully this time lots of practice makes baby! Baby Dust to one and all.

Hi Meredith! I’ve read that you only need to test twice a day (at the most). I tested at 10:00 in the morning and evening everyday. Don’t get discouraged though, because it can really wear on you. Just keep telling yourself, “It wasn’t the right time yet!” I’ve talked to so many moms, and most of them agree that if we focus a little less on pregnancy and just go about our daily lives, it will happen much quicker than if we stress out about it. Easier said than done, but really make a date night with your hubby every so often, take a weekend vacation…whatever it takes to relax!!! :)
