Wendy: I did my O Test. I got 2 lines, and LH SURGE. Woo hoo!! That means I have 24 to 40 hours to get on it! ;) I have butterflies in my stomach. Kenny is at work so I'll just have to wait until he gets home. I am not worried, as I have a good window, so now I have to get on the road to L.A. to the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum with my mom.

So I pick up my mom from her work and we drive to Ripley's in Hollywood. Of course, we talk like two parrots, so regardless of traffic, we don't even realize that we're in L.A. in no time. I don't have change to pay for the parking meter because, duh, I forgot that on Hollywood Blvd, the city has installed parking meters EVERYWHERE & the meters do take credit cards but not today because the credit card part of the system is unavailable. I have to go into a souvenir shop and get change, but they don't make straight change -- I have to buy something to get change. Okay, yeah. Could it get more complicated? I think that I was on edge because I was nervous about going to see the fertility statues. What am I afraid of? The statues aren't alive or anything.

I checked in with reception to meet Andrea. I saw the fertility statues out of the corner of my eye but didn't want to go over to them without Andrea there. I mean, the statues were right at the entrance of the museum. Couldn't miss them.

Andrea came out and introduced herself and she was great. She was excited that I had made it. She explained the history of the statues, that 2,000 women had become pregnant after touching them. She demonstrated which areas I was to rub, the sequence, and I had to use both hands. So, she patiently guided me through the rub sequence and voila! I then was photographed with the statues. Andrea let us tour the entire museum before we left. We thanked Andrea for her genuine hospitality and she asked me to keep her posted as to my progress. It was fun!

So we jumped in the car and headed back to O.C. Not long after getting on the freeway, I felt like my stomach was burning. But as we got closer to O.C., it subsided. I didn't think much of it until later in the day. Now it's just plain weird.

Waiting for Kenny to get home from work since I am ovulating right now. But I don't want to get overwhelmed with this. I don't want to stress myself out about it.

Well, Kenny got home from work. We did our usual weekday evening, which includes dinner and sharing stories about each other's day. I know he works very hard every single day and he is gone at least 12 hours every day doing his job, which I am so proud of him for. I didn't feel that I needed to jump on him when he walked through the door. He needs time to unwind. We took the evening slow and did not conjugate until after midnight -- at which time we are normally sound asleep because we are early birds. It was special. He was sweet and gentle and we were peaceful in the midst of all of it. I did NOT want to be so stressed about when and where and how many times because that would take the fun out of what we were doing and diminish our ability to reproduce. I have heard from so many women that are trying so hard that they lose all the joy of the experience and it ends up being just a chore, which probably most men don't mind. But for women, it's a different connection. To be intimate with your partner is just as important as having sex with your partner. To achieve that intimacy is a huge part of any relationship.
