Wendy: Memorial Day has a very special meaning to me. Memorial Day is the day to remember all of our fallen heroes. This remembrance is very close to my heart because I am an Air Force veteran and I understand what it means to be in the military.
I too have been deployed to an "unclassified" location during wartime. The feeling is excitement, pride, and fear, but I came back alive. I strive to appreciate every day of my life. The single best decision in my life was to serve in the military. It is where I learned humility, integrity, discipline, accountability, and sacrifice.

I have so much respect for you…it takes a lot of courage for women to be in the military, not just being “military wives.” I already have a hard enough time being an Air Force wife myself; but I’m not cut out to actually be in the service. Well, hope you and your hubby enjoy the rest of this Memorial Day weekend.
