Need a Vaginal Nip/Tuck?
Vaginal rejuvenation surgeries are gaining popularity, but should your vagina really get a makeover?
It's not like we here at Mom•Logic sit around and talk about our vajayjays all day, but lately we've been discussing vaginal rejuvenation surgery. A lot. Apparently, the surgery tightens vaginal muscles and reduces the size of a woman's labia, and is designed to increase sexual gratification and reduce forms of incontinence. Other variations of the surgery include hymenoplasties, where the hymen membrane is "reattached," and liposuction of the pubic mound. The surgery costs on average between $4,000 and $10,000. But is it worth it? We called OB/GYN and friend of Mom•Logic Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz for her opinion on this new trend.
Sounds like Dr. Suzanne's not a big fan. But we know one mother of three who says the surgery has transformed her sex life, and was worth every penny. What do you think?
Give the Boy a Shot!
By now, we've all heard of the HPV vaccination recommended for girls
age 9 and up. But what about boys? Mom•Logic friend OB/GYN Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz says, "I think it's insane the vaccine isn't offered for boys! Where do you think girls are getting HPV in the first place? This is just sexist." Amen! But there is some hope on the horizon: Merck
is testing an HPV vaccine for boys as we speak. It's about freaking time!
