My first child was delivered by c-section the stated reason was CPD (cephalopelvic disproportion or basically the babies head was too big to get out). I think the real reason was because they had over-medicated me via epidural and I could not push at all or even move my legs. I think this is true because after that nightmare birth I found another doctor who delivered all the rest of my children by natural childbirth and one of them had a head measurement a full inch larger than my first and he weighed almost two pounds more. It can be done so if you want to go for it.
I have 3 kids. My 1st was c-section(after 4 hours of pushing)and a nightmare recovery(incision got infected). My middle child was born vaginally. I was really motivated to have the next vaginally. My 3rd ended up as a c-section. I had a lot of time between them, lots of healing time. They are 18, 12 and 4 now. I preferred the vaginal birth due to recovery time and less exposure to drugs for the baby. But my 3rd c-section was a quick and easy recovery compared to the 1st. But I will say my doctor said, due to scar tissue from my 1st c-section, I really should not have more. He had a hard time sewing me up. Luckily I was done anyway. Ask your doctor to give you all the info. so you can make an informed decision that is best for you and your baby.
I delivered twin girls by c section and then got pregnant 9 months later and delivered a 9.1 lb. baby girl. It is done all the time....good luck.
i had my son rylan via c-section in april of 2007. being a labor and delivery nurse i knew the risks of VBACing (vaginal birth after c-section)and i know how hard it can be to find a doctor who will deliver you vaginally. well in july of 2007 i found out i was 6 weeks along with my next baby! so when i went to my doctor we decided i would have another c-section on feb. 28 of 2008. i was absolutely fine with this because i'll be honest i was scared to push a baby out! i saw women everyday scream and yell in horrible pain as they delivered their children and i joked "i'm just happy my babies don't come out that way!" well long story short on feb.26 at 10pm my water broke on it's own as i was folding laundry on my couch! when i got to the hospital my doctor decided he would let me labor naturally to see how things went. after 12 hours of labor (with an epidural) and 15 minutes of pushing i delivered my baby boy! after having a baby both ways i will tell you the recovery is much better following vaginal birth and most importantly i can still pick up my 11 month old! so if you can find a doctor that will deliver you vaginally, after a long discussion of the risks (ruptured uterus),if you feel you want to VBAC- more power to you! you can do it!
Also, its according to why you had a c-section. If it b/c ur cervix wouldn't open then that may still be a problem. My sister had one b/c the baby heart rate dropped.

I haven't but my sister have. She had her second baby two years later though.
