Stretchmarks

default userpic

IM 23 and had my first little baby(a boy) in OCTOBER OF 2007. After he was born I got a lot of stretchmarks on my breasts stomach and hips. Its gotten to the point where I dont even want to be naked in front of his dad anymore. I feel so ugly and unattractive - Does anyone know anything that can help with the stretchmarks and my self esteem -

I fortunately did not get stretch marks too badly but I have heard that their is a hair product from Global Goddess that does double duty - making your hair shiny and gorgeous and if you rub it on your skin it helps reduce stretch marks. It Coconut Amla Revitalizing Hair Treatment.

I have stretch marks as well and i struggle with them on a daily basis. I haven't seen the father since i was 4 months pregnant and he has only seen them in pictures. I don't want him to see them or anyone else for that matter. I was trying on clothes for a new job that i got and that was the first time i looked at my own stomach. I feel your pain and i hope every thing works out for you.

I have the same problem, my daugher is 8 months old almost and my boyfriend is still not allowed to see me naked. I am gonna try the Palmers stuff. My stretchmarks too came in the last few weeks of pregnancy. Though my boyfriend doesnt see me naked he tells me all the time that he is not bothered by the way I look, that he loves me. He always says "that is my belly... you made my baby in there... that is mine!!" He makes me feel loved, but I am still gonna try the Palmers stuff lol

Pre-pregnancy.

I went through that also. I used cocoa butter as well my whole pregnancy, I still ended up with stretchmarks on my belly they came my 38th week. I thought I was going to beat it, but it got me. There is alot of stuff you can use, Palmers have a firming butter that I use now, it helps tightens skin and with stretchmarks after pregnancy and weight loss. It works I been using it since I had my baby last month and my stomach actually looks better...yea! With your self-esteem, just remember you are beautiful, and most partners don't even care about stretchmarks. My husband had me stand naked in the mirror with him and just pointed out the good things about me, and pointed out that the stretchmarks are not that bad. He told me that they was a result of our beautiful baby :o) That meant alot to me and now I'm fine with my body, although I am planning to get back in shape and where I use to be post-pregnancy. Good Luck!

I used cocao body butter on mine and I thought it worked well HOWEVER it is expensive. I bought it at The Body Shop for like $20+ a bottle.
