My 4 month old daughter is not napping like she use to. For the past 3 days she has only napped 2 hours TOTAL all day. Could it be teeth? I feel sharp gums, but see nothing. Also, she is very annoyed with everything she use to enjoy doing...I am assuming from being tired.

You did not say if she is sleeping all night but I am guessing that if she is not sleeping alllll night she probably is coming close to it. Though 2 hours nap time seems like a small amount it is not unusual in my experience at this age. It could be teething but with my children it was just the too much and not enough stage. They all seemed to go through a time between 4 to about 8 months when they suddenly became so much more aware...yet they could not get around well yet so they easily got bored. They want new sights sounds and experiences and they insist on it loudly at times. My solution was to move them around a lot.Maybe the floor, the baby swing, the jumper seat, the stroller, the playpen, the crib, the papoose bag, for about 5 or 10 minutes each also trying to give them a variety of things to look at helped to. Maybe a good cartoon, a variety of window views, a place where they could watch older siblings play,....anyway I found that their attention span was low and they seemed to get frustrated easily if I did not provide them with changes. The good news is once they are able to crawl well they tend to occupy themselves better and find new stuff interest themselves... of course that can be a whole new set of mommy stress....LOL
