The wording of this just makes me so sad. How do we as adults get to the point that we despise a child who is not yet even 5 years old? I hope what you are really saying is that you do not care for or even despise this childs behaviour. No matter how badly a normal healthy child of this age behaves it is not their fault. The only person to blame in my opinion when a healthy child of "normal" mental capacity is "bratty" is the parents. So In my opinion you should despise your friends parenting abilities not this poor child who has simply been badly taught.
