I quit cold turkey (15-ish years ago? back when Marlboro 100s cost $1.88/pack!). The thing that did it was my boyfriend at the time asked me to quit, so I promised that the pack I had would be my last. I'm a stickler for keeping my word, so while it was hard, I never lit up after that pack.
I need to stop to. But i guess I'm to weak. mine costs $3.39 a pk. I don't want to end up carrying around an oxygen tank where ever I go? If you find out how please email me? Mainly lung problems. My Father died in 2004 lung cancer. My 2 brothers n my self still hasn't learned. Cigs Kill. My kids has always begged me to stop. They don't want me dead. I still didn't get it.I feel guilty because I have always smoked around them in side the house in the car?? I might have hurt them to? But I pray that I haven't. My youngest is 18 now. well i stopped smoking cold turkey when my son was born but do not get me wrong as i was not "addicted" to the nicontine. just a habit i had but i was changed to wellbutrin b/c it was safe for my pregnancy and it made me not want to even smell a ciggerette. it was not just my pregnancy as it is given simply for people who want to try to quit smoking. it has helped a lot of people. good luck. mind over matter.
