Lea says: "Well, if she was willing to do that at any time in her life, I would not consider her a good role model for any child - at least in a daily environment. I could see her using it as a way to reach kids if she's changed, but I wouldn't want her influencing my child every day."
Another mom chimes in: "How wonderful that she uplifted herself and is now a teacher. Everyone tells you to try to do better and she has definitely done that, but who are the sanctimonious people who now don't want there children to be taught by her.

The issue remains that the advertisements are CURRENT and she is teaching. There were 8 escort advertisements in the CURRENT Yellow Pages that belonged to her - how can she not have been doing this escort job for two years when the advertisements are one year subscriptions???
I say, if it's in her past...that's not anyone's business. She didn't hurt anyone.
The fact that she's still running the escort business, well, she just has to make a choice. Escort service or Teacher.
Again with the scarlett letters. On the one hand "we" tend to condemn the exotic entertainers for their offensive behavior. Which by the way is not molesting or abusing children. On the other hand we resist their attempts to change. She apparently even at her worst was not hurting children. Why do we assume that now when she has changed her life she will suddenly become a danger to children?
I really don't think the past should effect your current job, unless there poses a safety issue. The only thing about this teacher is she was still running her escort service while being a teacher! I am actually from the city she was working in and they have determined she was still running the escort service while teaching high schoolers. And technically she resigned and was not fired!
