My son does not like tummy time, he is 4 mos old, he holds his head up quite well and sits up with assistance. The doctor said he need some more belly time, when I lay him on his stomach he just screams! I got him the Boppy pillow but it dosent help, he hates it! any suggestions?

My 6wk old love tummy time, i guess because she is nosey and she like to see me walking around. When she lay on her back looking at toys or the ceiling is not enough. However, the "surf pad" is a neat idea, I am going to go and get one and see if she likes it. Thanks.
Okay, it came today. I must say, he doubled his tummy time. However, that only came to a total of 6 minutes...it is neat though. He really seemed to not mind being on his tummy as much with something to look at and help him prop up off of his face. It has a "screen" that you fill with water and there are fish that float around in there. I got it at Target. Here is the link, if you're interested...

I have the same problem - they only time my 9 week old wants to be on his stomach is when he sleeps, and I hate to interrupt him, but my nerves cannot take the fear of SIDS and his lying on his stomach. I order one of those tummy time "surf pads" so I'll let you know if it is worth the $20 or not!!! Hopefully it will come today.
