Michelle Williams on Missing Heath: 'It Just Gets Worse'
PEOPLE: It's been 10 months since Heath Ledger's tragic death. And, obviously, Michelle Williams is still reeling.
In fact, during a recent interview with Newsweek, the actress - mother of Ledger's three-year-old daughter, Matilda - burst into tears at the mere mention of his name.
"It's so sad," the 28-year-old told the magazine of Ledger's death - ruled an accidental overdose of prescription drugs - in late January.
How is she holding up? "I guess it's always changing," she said. "What else can I say? I just wake up each day in a slightly different place - grief is like a moving river."
Although the two Brokeback Mountain stars had split before Ledger's death, they always remained close.
"It's a strange thing to say, because I'm at heart an optimistic person, but I would say in some ways it just gets worse," she said of her grief. "It's just that the more time that passes, the more you miss someone. In some ways it gets worse. That's what I would say."
The actress - currently starring in the indie flick Wendy and Lucy - says she's currently taking a year off to focus on her daughter.
"I don't want to work while she's in school," the former Dawson's Creek star (who's been linked to director Spike Jonze) told Newsweek. "I want her to have a routine. I want the plainest, simplest, most ordinary, habituated routine possible."

NYC Mom Sues Hospital After Losing Both Hands and Feet
FOXNEWS.com: A New York City woman is suing a local hospital after her lawyer says a "medical mistake" led to the removal of both her hands and her feet, the New York Daily News reported.
Quadruple amputee Tabitha Mullings was released from Brooklyn Hospital Center Friday, where she originally was admitted two months ago for a kidney stone.
Mullings was given painkillers and sent home, but an infection that went untreated blocked blood flow to her hands and feet and she lapsed into a semi-coma for two weeks, according to the News.
When the 32-year-old mother of three awoke, she said doctors told her they had to amputate both her hands and both her feet, the paper reported. Mullings also lost sight in one eye.
Mullings is suing the hospital for $100 million dollars and said she was never given a blood test to check for the infection that led to her amputations.
Mullings prepared herself Friday for the long and difficult rehabilitation regimen she faces.
"I want to thank God for giving me a chance to live through this," said Mullings. "My goal is to walk out of this hospital with my hands and legs before Christmas so I can spend it with my family and friends. The first thing I will do is hug my kids as tight as possible."
Her lawyer, Sanford Rubenstein, told the Daily News that Mullings is "a role model for those who suffer a tragedy."

Cincinnati House Fire Kills 3 Children
FOXNEWS.com: Authorities in Cincinnati say three children under the age of 10 have died in a house fire.
Fire Capt. Mike Washington says firefighters arrived on the scene in the city's Lower Price Hill neighborhood after 2:30 a.m. Monday and found heavy flames throughout both floors of the single-family home. The bodies of the children were found inside after firefighters extinguished the fire.
District Fire Chief John Zompero says a man escaped the fire by jumping from a roof. The man was taken to University Hospital with unknown injuries.
Fire officials say a woman who was in the house got out safely.
Wife Shot and Killed at New Jersey Church
Associated Press: A gunman drove across the country to confront his estranged wife, then killed her in a church vestibule as Sunday services let out, authorities said. Two other people were injured in the attack, which sent churchgoers scrambling for safety.
The gunman fled, and authorities were searching for him and warned people that he was believed to be armed.
About 200 people were attending services inside St. Thomas Syrian Orthodox Knanaya Church in Clifton when the gunman opened fire before noon. Churchgoers described bedlam after the shots rang out.
"Kids were crying. People were screaming," Suja Alummoottil told The Record of Bergen County. "It was chaotic."
Police Detective Capt. Robert Rowan identified the slain woman as 24-year-old Reshma James and the gunman as 27-year-old Joseph M. Pallipurath of Sacramento, Calif.
Police did not identify the other two victims, but Rowan told The Star-Ledger of Newark that all three were shot in the head and that the other two, a 47-year-old woman and 23-year-old man, were in critical condition.
A spokeswoman for St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, where the victims were being treated, declined to comment on their conditions.
Alummoottil, 40, said Pallipurath appeared angry when he confronted James in the vestibule as the service was concluding. Alummoottil said she went to get help and, a few seconds later, heard three shots.
Rowan said James had recently moved from California to New Jersey to escape an abusive marriage and had filed a restraining order against Pallipurath.
Members of the church are mostly first-generation immigrants and their children from the southern Indian state of Kerala, according to the church's Web site.

Earlier this week 19-year-old Abraham Biggs turned on his streaming web-cam, took some pills and never woke up.
Abraham broadcast his suicide live on the Web while online users chatted and cracked jokes while they watch the troubled teenager slowly die.
On Saturday, Abraham's father spoke out for the first time, saying he was appalled by the virtual audience that stood by and did nothing to help his son. "It's a person's life that we're talking about. And as a human being, you don't watch someone in trouble and sit back and just watch."
