We don‚Äôt have to understand the way that people choose to heal from the heart brake of loosing a child! The people I am concerned about are the cold hearted, bitter women that have written horrible things about the way a person chooses to mourn their child‚Äôs death… the “Damaged” people out there are truly the ones who cant sympathize, the ones who always have something to say before they think, Ladies… You could not possibly put your self in anyone‚Äôs shoes, don‚Äôt try. You could never know what any woman is going through, and if you are lucky enough to have never felt the pain of a loss, take someone else‚Äôs story and give thanks that your life is perfect.

Anonymous,

She said the doll helps her sleep after losing her child! She didn’t say she carries it around with her…..what is wrong with you people? Are you stupid?

This one I have to say really does look real. Very freaky I wouldnt want it even if it was given to me for free. Looks to me like somebody took their baby to a taxidermist and had her stuffed. REALLY FREAKY!!!!

these are just creepy. it would be like having a dead baby. it took an amazing artist to make them but there just sooooo creepy!!!!!! if people can afford to pay 1000. for one of these thats fake why not adopt and actually care for a real child that can love you back and not just sit there and gather dust (and freak everyone out)

Nancy, that is a very touching story. Thank you for sharing it. I would have never imagined the doll being used for that purpose. It must have been such a breath of fresh air to see your mother respond to the doll.

Never commented on anything before, but just couldn’t let this one go without say something……….My mom was 80 plus years with dementia, she would mess with her bed clothes (undress) pick at everything and roll her blankets into a ball and talk to the children on the ceiling. She kept insisting her knee was a baby that was going to smother under the blankets. She was very upset when you couldn’t see the baby and wouldn’t remove it from the danger of suffocation.
We purchased a doll that looked life like and gave it to her. She now had something tangible, she name it, talked to it, played with it and loved that baby doll. It made her feel responsible to set a good example and she began to eat again. This baby doll gave her a purpose the last few weeks of her life while she was waiting to enter heaven.

I understand wanting to “hold onto” a child that is gone but this is just weird. What if you lost a toddler or an older child, would you tote a doll of them with you? If you want one, keep it home! There are some seriously “damaged” people out there….WOW!
