OMG! I can’t believe how life like this little darling looks! I’m 44 and to old to play with dolls as I did when I was a child, but seeing this little cutie nearly makes me wish I could again! How precious!

I don’t understand the negative attitude. Do those same people feel that way about all dolls, or just these realistic, well-made ones?

With each negative comment that I read, I detect a classic negative individual. These are just dolls! Some are cute; some are downright homely! I own about 12 Ashton-Drake “Truly Real” baby dolls, beginning with the very first one - Emily.

They are NOT made with human skin (where in God’s name did you come up with that outrageous idea???). They are made with latex rubber infused with baby powder, so they smell wonderful.

I even have one that is made of silicone, so it is pliable enough to tweak its little nose and cheeks.

I am not warped, but I do enjoy taking them out of their boxes from time to time to share them with my young granddaughters, and they adore them.

Some of them have pacifiers, one of them has a heartbeat, one of them cries and wiggles, but they all look very real, not dead.

I have been to the funeral of a three week old baby and, while she looked beautiful and peaceful, her skin did have a greyish palor.

I began to collect my dolls about four years ago when they first came out for the simple reason that I love babies; my grandchildren live 1000 miles away, and I was condemned to having only two children by my first husband, and cut off at the age of 23.

I have a difficult time understanding the ignorant and dark minds of people thinking this is creepy. Just goes to show that those of you with that mindset are generally negative thinkers about most things.

I would just bet you don’t have much of a sense of humor, either.

Persilla, are you trolling? These dolls are works of art. Why are they creepy? Do paintings of people make you feel creepy? Do great statues?
The only thing creepy is that people think they are creepy. I do think some of them are pretty ugly but this one is really cute.

To all these people that have problems with these Babies: DON’T BUY THEM & SHUT THE HELL UP! I happen to own several, all 3 of my Daughters have them to & we have never had any problem with them. I didn’t pay $100.00 for them & don’t take them out & about, but yes I have some pics of me holding some of them; when I first get them & people have asked who’s baby? I just laugh at them & tell them it’s a doll. I’m an avid doll collector of around 500 or more & I consider them part of my collection. Also yes some are in cradles, FOR DOLLS! It’s the people that have a problem that need to get a grip not us!

The other dolls creep me out because they are so homely, but I have to admit this one is very cute but the hair bothers me a bit. Something just doesn’t look right about it.

Persila Toliver (woman who posted above): I have gone to one website of a woman who makes these dolls and she goes into great detail how she makes them and what materials she used. No dead baby skin, check it out! LOL.

The craftsmanship that goes into these dolls is amazing!!! Can you imagine the time and patience it takes to make something this real-looking? I don’t have the patience to make a doll out of a sock! They are just beautiful.

What a beautiful piece of art. In paintings, sculpting,etc. the more lifelike and realistic the more people are drawn to it’s beauty.

This doll is so beautiful it looks like a little angel. I dont think there is anything wrong with having them as keepsakes, some of them are gorgeous.

I think these dolls are just wonderfull I belive a lot of people well come to see that there just great. thank you for making something, that looks so real. if I could aford one. I sure would get myself one.

It has vinyl skin, and anyone who has ever seen a newborn up close would realize that this is a fake demon doll.

i think this is the most disgusting thing i have seen in a long time and what idol is making these dools, and why do they look so real, what are they mde out. there is a murderer out there
taking skin off some poor person(s) to make these dolls, look and feel that real that the cops can’t tell. beware!
