Oh come on, at least she wearing clothes. If you don’t want your child to draw a woman in manga, or have any thoughts about the opposite sex lock them in their room for ever. Face it, no matter what you do your child will always think. You cannot control the world.

well you have to understand that some of the manga’s that these kid’s are reading weren’t actually meant for them, the kid has the right to chose what he wants to draw read and watch to a point but still there will be limits, and its not that big of a deal for a kid to see a few nude female manga drawings to assist in teaching art, for some reason I have a feeling im going to have alot of people disagreeing with me >.>

Gimmie a break Kim, how long do you plan on “controlling” the so called “junk” that goes in a child’s mind. That’s just ridiculous, you cant control every aspect of someones life, nor should you decide for someone what they can and can’t like. if your child has an interest in manga who are you to say that’s wrong, and You canceled cable!?! all your doing is narrowing the mind of your children so they could be just like you.

I’d have to say this is a pretty sad situation all the way around. Some of the kids who grow up to be the very best artists all started young by drawing what they were passionate about, and some of those very drawings include anatomical shapes. You have to realize that to learn to draw a clothed person, you have to be able to understand and draw the body that goes under those clothes. One of my very first ‘how to’ artistic books I owned when I was young was titled “The Art Of Drawing Human Anatomy”, and yes, gasps, it had naked human bodies. Back then those around me who saw it understood it was art. Today I’d be throw out of school for bringing “porn” to the classroom.

I applaud the mom who turned off the cable tv and monitors what comes in her home. Unfortunately, concerned parents like herself are the minority in this day and age.

Yeah, I guess I’d want my kid to not draw cartoon women dressed in one-piece bathing suits either. Thank god future generations may be spared such twisted exercises.

Okay, I’ve become my mother, but so be it. These provacative, and sometimes violent, cartoons are exactly why I canceled cable. I now rent movies through the two popular ‘mail order’ services. I control the junk that goes in so I can control the junk that comes out.
