Where are the mothers of these girls ???
Do they think it is acceptable for a young girl going to a prom to look like a call girl or a hooker ???

while it might not be the type of dress that i personally associate with a prom… kids today are different, so taste is to some extent up to them. i do cringe when i see pics of myself in a leisure suit from the 70s and wish my parents would have not let me wear that.

BUT, as far as if the dress is “slutty” i peronally think NO. that dress looks expensive and quality, AND it is gorgeous and sexy and SHE looks good in it and some other girls might even look better in it.

If she likes to figure skate,I say, SKATE ON little Michelle. It is really beautiful, this dress. The fabric is top notch (and sometimes really makes a dress seem less cheap look-wise than it really is). It’s really edgy…and very controversial…causes mixed opinions which I’m sure it what most teen girls want to evoke at prom

skating dresses dont look like this!

rather than picking out athletes like figure skaters who have the confidence to do what they’re doing, you should be making girls feel better about themselves. insulting people by calling them and their sport slutty is not a way of doing this.

rather than getting angry and insulting this picture, i am going to say that it literally makes me sad. sad that someone thinks this is the right way to get attention. i feel genuinely bad for this girl

I am so stunned and appalled by the dresses these beautiful, young, ahem, LADIES have chosen… And I do use the term “Ladies” loosely, more in reference to “Ladies of the Night,” as that is what they look like. The fact that they choose clothing you could see on any “Lady of the Night” tells you the path they are headed. What I want to know is where are their parents in all of this??? My daughters wouldn’t have made it through my door w/ dresses like these, let alone back out the door WEARING them! I have been on my own since the age of 17. (Remember, some of these girls are not yet 18 & are still in their parents care as MINORS!)I moved out in January & graduated in June. Which was the same age I graduated high school since my birthday was in the fall. Yet, even with being on my own, without parental guidance, I still chose a tasteful, purple spaghetti strapped dress, that was knee length, w/ a black satin wrap, and black heels. I cannot imagine going to prom in a few strings and a patch of lace that is less than what some people wear on the beach! Their corsages were bigger than their dresses for Pete’s sake! Anyone that says, “This is a Free Country & they can wear what they want!,” obviously doesn’t have daughters and did not have morals, values, modesty, and formal wear etiquette instilled in them when they were young. I would also be curious to find out how many of these girls become mothers within the next year & possibly become grandmothers before they are 35 if history repeats itself. I would also love to be a fly on the wall in their homes when these girls are seeing their daughters off to prom & what they are wearing. Shame on the parents for allowing their daughters to advertise themselves as cheap, easy bimbos and letting them perpetuate the myth that it’s all about your body and how you look that makes you important, when in reality, it’s about what is inside your heart and mind that counts. Apparently, even at their young ages, they are already insecure, suffering self esteem issues, and are trying to get as much attention as possible to make up for something they are lacking. They are already damaged and as everyone knows “damaged goods are such a steal!”

Ms. Santana, you have the right to your opinion just as anyone else, but excuse us our right to not have anything to do with you and people like you. If a young girl came into the prom dressed like this, and I was chaperoning, she would be escorted out.
