A nice LBD, but in NO way good enough for prom material.

The point of Prom is you are meant to look and feel like a fairy tale princess.

This just looks like somthing that you can buy relativly cheaply from a warehouse. Perfect for clubbing but heed my advice- NOT PROM.

I always thought that Prom was where a young woman got to dress up and be her fantasy idea of what beauty is, get to be the princess going to the ball, etc. So I think the sad thing is that most of these girls think that in these outfits they are the most beautiful; However most of these dresses I wouldn’t consider “slutty”, plus you all haven’t seen the dress a girl at my prom wore, now that was slutty.

Many of these dresses were TRASHY to a varying degree.

A couple, you could get away with for a night at a club…but none are appropriate for a teenage girl going to a school function like a prom.

I don’t give a schmit if “times have changed” or we “moms need to quit being prude”…there’s a difference between being elegant (even if it’s provacative) and dressing like a prostitute.

You don’t have to walk around half naked to be beautiful…we all know what’s under the dress ladies…

Sometimes it’s nice to leave a little something to the imagination.

It’s a pity that society is getting more and more whorey by the day.

this is a beautiful dress. More for after prom. That’s when you are supposed to wear a shorter dress. I hear a lot of schools are not doing after proms anymore. Plus I heard a lot of prom -08er’s saying that they opted for smaller dress so that they could wear them again… I have not not worn my prom dress since prom and it has been 3 years.

I believe in the pic I can see her knee and I imagine the back is out. I would approve this for a club and possibly and after prom which is supposed to be more like a club party but monitored by adults and keeping our babies safe. Though they are stubborn !

This one isn’t too bad. If girls spent as much time paying attention in school as they do “ho-ing” we would be a better country. You can be your kids friend when they are married. My mom was hard on me about clothes, etc, and I turned out to be more successful in my life than my friends with “easy” moms. Again, This is NOT a prom dress. It is not a bad dress, its more for a highschool GRADUATE going out to dinner and dancing with friends or out on a date, its a dancing or cocktail dress but this is not what prom is about. People are losing touch with that classic ballroom elegant feel of PROM, it is meant to be a good time but in a classy way that is like the first time they start to feel like grown ups, its not a big club! That just kills the idea of prom, it makes it a regular night out as opposed to the special night its supposed to be. Honestly I didnt even enjoy my prom so I dont really even see the point in going anyway but if you feel you need that “special” moment in your life, make it special dont just wear a freakin cocktail dress.

If this dress was a little bit longer it would look so much prettier and I would have worn it to my prom, although black does not look good on me so I’d pick another color. I can’t imagine dancing in a short dress. Am I the only one who has dresses ride up a bit when there is a fast song on? That’s why I don’t wear short dresses ever! And whenever I wear dresses and skirts I wear a pair of those boy shorts bathing suit bottoms so that just in case it gets windy or I trip or something I wouldn’t be embarrased because nothing would show.

Teen morals have nothing to do with the dresses they wear to prom. This dress is not appropriate for a prom, I agree, however it would be more appropriate for a club. Some people fail to realize that not all teenagers lack morals, dresses do not lead to teen sexuality, because teens will be sexual regardless of what they are told and sometimes even to be rebellious. Dresses at a prom do not lead them to do this.

Jackie, you must be very unattractive or have some major self-esteem issues. That would explain unnecessarily hating on the young model in the photo. The dress is very nice and there is nothing wrong with it. What do you people want girls to wear to prom? Do you want them to wear June Cleaver dresses? Or maybe a burka? Just because it’s stylish, it doesn’t mean it’s slutty. If you’re one of those people that judge people, you are probably too fat to wear the clothes they are wearing.

Totally agree that the dress ISN’T slutty. And YES, our kids are losing their morals. Why? Because parents are too “hands off” and are afraid to discipline their kids. Remember when we were all growing up? If your mom or dad looked at you a certain way, you knew it meant to behave…NOW, however, parents are afraid to say anything let alone spank their kids because of the overwhelming “political correctness” that has inflitrated our society, no thanks to “liberal” thinkers. Liberalism is a mental disorder…BIG TIME, and our kids are paying the price by acting out, being slutty, not as intelligent as their international counterparts, and generally growing into an idiocracy that we’re too afraid to fight…

Sorry for the rant…

Teen girls are trying to figure out how to deal with their sexuality, and need parental influence. When I was that age, I too wanted to show most of everything I had, it is not that unusual. However, I had parents that would not allow it. You can be sexy and decent. Most teen girls just need help in understanding how to be not only pretty and sexy, but also classy. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with showing cleavage at prom, you just don’t need to show all of it!! And I also would like to add, the skin-tight jeans with tummy-rolls hanging over and the short tops. Not pretty..if you have the body for it, maybe, but if you don’t, don’t wear that stuff!!

And ya wonder why guys get stereotyped? Teens think they’re ENTITLED to do what’s popular/in style just because it’s being advertised by designers, etc. I’m happy to read there are parents out there who would not let their girls out in dresses like these. Hopefully their daughters will learn and pass on the same standards.

If a teen girl going to prom has a bod she is proud of, and this is what they are wearing today, and they pay for it out of their own hard earned monies, and this is the dress they want themselve photographed in to show their daughters and grandchildren some day,and you as an adult see nothing wrong with it then fine. go ahead, set a new low.
As for the young women arrested for choosing the first one. NO WAY, she is not deserving of arrest, but a course in good taste and real fashion would seem in order. We are only young once, make your mistakes then, later is later.

It’s no wonder boys are confused. It’s also no wonder date rape is a big thing. Think about it girls. Take some pride in youselves.
