What could you possibly gain from speaking public about your secret affair? Closure? I can think of many other avenues to rid yourself of guilt and coming to peace with yourself. Sounds as if you are bragging about it, which to me, in your position, is horrific. I no longer have respect for you.

I have lost ALL RESPECT for her. What was to gain by putting that affair out there. She showed no concern or empathy for his children and grandchildren….. And she was supposed to have had feelings for the senator. to shame him after he’s gone and his children for publicity? It’s dispicable. No class as far as I’m concerned. I’ve lost all respect for her before this though. How she acted on the view with this Rosie thing her true colors shined through. Liar and two-faced. How embarrassing for her. She was so respected before the view. She screwed up. She should have just retired quietly, and kept her dignity and respect. The View and this book took that away from her. So sad…….

Barbara Walters showed her true colors when she started the View. Who cares if she had an affair, but to bring it out into the public now was in very bad taste. The man has a family and grandchildren. When all this thing with Rosie took place on the View and Donald Trump lashed out at Rosie Barbara showed that she lied to protect her image and that she is two faced. I not only have lost respect for her, but I do not like her anymore. What a big mistake she has made.

Did Barbara Walters ever think about the Senator’s family for one minute. The man is dead and Walters brings out her dirty laundry to embarass the Senator’s family.

She just needed more publicity and attention because she is getting old.
I’ve lost respect for her, not for having the affair, but for blabbing about it now.

Did we really need to know this?

Why do we get excited or upset at the fall of public figures? They are human people in the spot light. They are paid celebrity/actors. Anyone who reacts like these folks were friends or relatives is a bit out of touch with reality.

She didn’t throw away a career, but she did throw away the respect that a lot of people had for her. What possible purpose did her revelation serve?

Barbara Walters - Icon Legend Newswoman AnchorWoman Reporter Extraordinare Confidant Role Model How dare she reveal she had an affair! Barbara you just threw away an illustrious career you’ve worked so hard for because now everything you’ve ever done will forever be joked about and laughed at as an attempt to get men in bed and the only one that was even remotely interested in bedroom pity was the late Senator Edward Brooke. Or was he the only one? So much disappointment you have caused for me, I cannot begin to fathom what this “revelation” has done to everyone else in the world whom have also been emotionally affected..
