Well, i just turned 13 and i am a huge fan of the Tyra show and Tyra Banks. Tyra if you are reading this, I love you. You inspire me and you are so pretty. There are other ways to look nice and stand out without making yourself look so trashy. I am not sure what she is upset about…It looks as if she wanted attention and she got it. And she is still getting it here as well. If you dress to get attention, don’t be upset when you get it. If you want someone to look at you and say “wow you look nice.” this is not the outfit to do it in. I feel that she was dressed inappropriately for a school event and personally I feel that the outfit is quite “revealing”, but it is no different than a bikini bathing suit. By no means should she be wearing this as an outfit, but I think the publicity of it was completely blown out of porportion. She was arrested because she was a disturbance not because of her “skimpy” clothing. It really was not that big of a deal.
We focus on the teens that are doing drugs and drinking and dressing permiscously and, while I understand it is a huge issue today that must be adressed, it is giving all teens a bad name. Today in many high schools if you so much as want to be in any club from drama club to the chess club you are required to agree to random drug testing. I feel that this is pathetic.By no means are the schools at fault for this but it is unfair that all teens have to be punished for what a fraction of teens are doing. I guess what I am trying to say is the girl wore an inappropriete outfit, complained when she was sent home, made a scene, refused to leave, and in turn got arrested. It is done and over. We really need to get over this incodent. Things like this are making teens ashamed of themselves and while we should address and try to fix the bad we also need to remember that their are good kids out there too.

Just because she has a good body doesnt mean everyone else wants/needs to see it. I am 19 and have a pretty good body by my mother would not even let me think about going out of the house looking like that. This shows that she has so respect for her body at all. I would like for parents if not just close friends to be honest with those they care about, and express to them what kind of message you send by dressing in such a manor.
