I for one would never wear such a thing, it is much to revealing and sends the wrong message. I’m just saying you should already know where the line is. Some may argue that it’s a free country but you can’t change the words in a dictionary and everybody knows what the word’s appropriate and elegant means.
I really don’t think that she should have been arrested…I feel that it was somewhat of a racial thing…now it would have not been racial if this was actually a country that served justice for all races.

Showing all but everything rarely ever does a girl justice. I don’t think that this is an appropriate dress for a girl who was still in high school, and after four years she would have known the dress code at her school well. I don’t think the school was wrong to kick her out. And as for her being arrested, that was her own fault. She chose to make a scene and the proper authorities were called.

y’all be not trippin on da hoe.if i’s wants to be a hoe,i’s shoulds be able to dress like one.y’all up in ma grills be trippin fools!dangs, even my moms be wearin dresses that sho her booty and everythang!when me and the snoop dog go out nobody be complainin so whys yous gotta be plaining now.y’alls just jealous cus i be chilling and i’s know my grammer.props to ma peeps west side dog holla y’all.
Typical of those people…more like animals
Very sexy !!! I’d wear it !!!!
When has the prom been a hooker convention, our society has pushed sex on these young girls at an early age.
I am glad that the school has a dress code.
WHAT IS SO BAD ABOUT THIS DRESS??? YALL NEED TO QUIT TRIPPIN BECAUSE IT’S NEVER THAT SERIOUS…YALL IS FOUL SITIN UP HERE TRYNA DOG HER FOR HER TASTE IN FASHION!!! IT’S HER CHOICE!!! SHE IS 18 YEARS OLD!!!
this girl looks like a hooker wit all that stuff hanging out !!!!!! ewwwwwww…
sweety that’s not a dress looks more like a swim suit.
this is just playing wrong, girl. you don’t have to dress like a bitch to be beutiful or get noticed. this is degrading and show a huge lack of intergrity
4 da girl who is a prostitute, sorry sweet heart but u gatta get a freakin life
Come on now people. The dress is not tasteless or anything like that. It’s obviously meant to be worn out to a special event because someone DESIGNED it that way. So it’s not meant for a prom,… that does not mean that she doesn’t have any morals!!! or that the dress wasn’t designed for an event of importance. SHE liked the dress. SHE bought the dress. SHE wore the dress!!! so how is it that other people here should get to have a say on what this girls all about.
Most swimsuites are more revealing than this.I just thing she wanted to be diffrent and it just came out in a bad way to others.Getting arrested was to serious about a prom dress.I mean I have seen way more horable things even nude and none of those people are in headlines or are getting arrested.
yes the dress is far too slutty for a school event. but being arrested is going to far. its actually only revealing her stomach, but personally i wouldn’t wear that.
Well I think it is a little inappropiate for my taste, but its nothing to get all angry over…The school I go to I see stuff like this all the time….I mean you are a senior your 18 or almost you should be able to wear whatever you want as long as your private parts are not being exposed.
okay so the dress looks like a bathing suit but i think its tastful, tons of girls wear things just as revealing to a regular day of school, i know, i am in middle school! i know what your thinking, “middle schoolers dont know whats appropriate for school!” i think you should be able to express yourself in any way you wish, as long as it covers the important parts, wich it does! thats just what i think!
I know she looks like shes going to work at a strip club, but she is not naked, her “dress” is covering the essential parts and it is not see through. but you have to admit
Isn’t that the kind of clothes celebrities wear on stage in concerts with kids? At least she didn’t dress like rose mcgowen or little kim. Maybe she was channeling her inner beyonce or pussycat doll.Give the girl a break it was supossed to be her special day I guess she wanted to feel like a celebrity
To the Anonymous person who wrote this(I have a message for you down below):
well i am a prostitute and very proud of it and that dress doesnt make her look like a prostitute she looks like a model. i wear less then that to work. you guys should be happy she didnt show up in a full fishnet body suit with nothing under… I went to jail for indecent exposure….
———————————————————-
Dude, are you serious!? Thats nothing to be proud of. Gosh, morals now-a-days just go right out the window!
I’m sorry but for everyone saying “Show some compassion! Put yourself in her shoes!” I just want to say that that isn’t necessary because I am intelligent and therefore would never wear a dress so revealing to a school event. Heck, I wouldn’t wear a dress that revealing PERIOD. It looks like something someone would wear either on the beach standing on the corner of a street, looking for business(if you know what I mean.) This young lady obviously has very little respect for herself and others. Its sad.
Well if you ask me, which I know you all didn’t so shut up and listen. Dresses like that are made for the run-way, not where teens are located. Proms are meant for kids to wear unique things but that’s going a bit too far. I know she shouldn’t have been arrested, but as someone has already stated there is a possibility that she couldn’t have gotten the money back. I for one would never wear such a thing, it is much to revealing and sends the wrong message. I’m just saying you should already know where the line is. You could cross over into a dangerous place where you might not be able to escape.
P.S Even on the run-way the dress is a little trampy.
It’s co0l to express yourself I mean as a female prom is an event that most girls have been planning for since they understood what the word prom meant and what the event consists of.
The thing is if your going to church you wear appropriate attire…therefore if you go to prom you wear appropriate attire!!!
Don’t lose your creativity just don’t substitute the word craetive for provocative.
I am turning 18 and honestly, is that appropriate? No. Then why bother wearing a dress to prom that you subconsciencly knew was going to put you into a situation that you don’t want to be in. GIRLS, you have a brain. Use it.
okay this dress is showing alot i dont even think that my mother wouldnt even let me look at that in the stores. they shouldnt called the cops they should have just made her go home unless she refused. but that dress should be on a stripper.
you know what that dress is not that bad, its not showing anything bad just the tummy. who cares
I personnally do not like the dress. Im a teenager but im on the heavier side so im very self concious about my body. Lets just say i like to keep everything hidden and this dress definitly doesnt leave anything to anyones imagination. I know people who would wear it but i would not be caught dead in it. no offence. But its just not something that i would wear and really not something i would find appropriate for a high school prom…..or any other time.
I PERSONALLY LIKE THE DRESS BECAUSE IT WAS UNIQUE N I STRESS BEING DIFFERENT N NOT ANOTHER PERSON IN THE CROWD. BUT THIS IS THE WRONG WAY TO BE UNIQUE BECAUSE IT SHOWS A BIT TOO MUCH SKIN, YOI HAVE TO LEAVE SOMETHING TO THE IMAGINATION. IF SHE WOULD HAVE JUST COVERED HER STOMACH THEN IT WOULD’VE BEEN HOT BUT BECAUSE SHE LEFT IT OUT OT WAS A NOT. SHE DISRESPECTED HERSELF AND HER PEERS BY SHOWIN ALL OF IT. NOW IF THIS WAS A SWIMSUIT THEN IT WOULD’VE BEEN OKAY ALSO. BUT NO MATTER HOW OBSCENE THE DRESS WAS, THEY STILL SHOULDN’T HAD ARRESTED HER. WELL I WOULD LIKE TO TELL HER THAT SHE HAS SOME GOOD TALENT IF SHE DESIGNED AND MADE THAT DRESS HERSELF!
I dont think It was bad enough 004 them 002 be making a big deal out of it like that. putting it on the news and stuff. I dont think they should have even called the police I think they should have just gave her the money back. people dont got money 002 jst be throwin around like that 004 nothin.
i think that the generations today forget the values of respect and being respectful of others .the generations today dont know the meaning of respecting yourself and youngladies sometimes go overboard and misunderstand the meaning of prom and understand that this the time of your life to cherish and remember. And this the time to wear something that is apporiate and respectful to yourself that is something that you will always remember and cherish and past on to generations to come ,but that was wrong to arrest that younglady there was another way to handle the situation
While it is a free country and one can make the arguement that she should be allowed to wear anything, it is still a high school prom. There is a certain standard when you are still a high school student. Sure we see these kinds of things on red carpets, but even then they are often crticized for being a little “scandalous.” Typically the most beautiful dresses are the ones that flaunt ones best assets. Showing all but everything rarely ever does a girl justice. I don’t think that this is an appropriate dress for a girl who was still in high school, and after four years she would have known the dress code at her school well. I don’t think the school was wrong to kick her out. And as for her being arrested, that was her own fault. She chose to make a scene and the proper authorities were called.
that dressing shows alot of indecency.boy!u gotta open yo eyes.
I think everyone that had a negative response to this young ladies story, need to sit back and imagine yourselves in something that someone else critizied you about and think how it made you felt. This is still a child and she need her respect just like everyone else, and for you people to be calling her names like that is not called for, you know nothing about this young lady and yet you all are disgracing her as well. Maybe she had a reason or statement she was tryng to prove and did not succeed. And we all have tried to make a point one way or another, but our feelings would have or have been hurt by the names and stuff other people say. Please remember this is a high school student, she is still a child. And to the kids that are on this site leaving a comment, please get in your books and study because the messages that you are leaving with all the misspelled words, show you should be concentrating on your work and not this topic, because all your education is showing, not to good!!!!!
She looks very trashy. She could of worn another dress that looks better and doesn’t reveil as much.
The girl was not arrested for wearing the dress people, she was arrested for the scene she mde while demanding her money back. Don’t get me wrong, they should have given it back, but prom tickets aren’t bought at the door. It’s not like they could have given her an immediate refund, which is what I’m sure she was demanding. I’ve seen girls like this before. They wear these scandalous clothes purposly to make a scene. And then when the scene they expected to happen does, they flip the heck out. I’m sure the school had her arrested because they felt that they HAD to.
Does anyone posting negative stuff about this girl realize she was a senior and that most high school seniors are 18 AND over?!
That means she is GROWN so stop hatin! It’s ridiculous that she was arrested, they could have at least given half of her refund - but the school made the issue bigger than it should have been.
Honestly I think that anyone has the right to wear what they want to wear and if anyone has a problem with that then they should shut up b/c what if someone told you oh you can’t wear that b/c it’s not in style or something like that! Oh and also to those who say that it’s too revealing well maybe you are saying that b/c you are jealous!?!?!
honestly I think the dress is 2 revealing it suppose to be prom. prom is fromal not the clubs I think if didnt like what she was wearing then they should have just gave her her money backa nd called it a night.
OMG! this is nothing at all i have seen so much worse. My thing is prom comes once in you lifetime so why not live it to the fullist. Its like dress whats comfortable and if this is what she liked then ok so be it.people make small issues the problem why not spend that little bit of their lifes worring about if someone is really breaking the law.
I have seen sooooooo much worse at fraternity parties!! You know, times are changing and I have to say that the change needs to be accepted. I am not saying this is a classy act, I’m just saying people need to be respected for their unique style. It’s a world of fashion these days! Check out the magazines! The media is what is driving young girls to look like this! I wouldn’t ever wear something like this personally, but arresting her?? Was that really the way to solve this? All of her necessary body parts are clearly covered and if this girl was asking for attention, they clearly gave it to her.
ALL OF MY FRIENDS TELL ME I “ACT” LIKE A WHITE GIRL AND I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY MEAN. I AM RACIALLY MIXED BUT I AM DARK IN MY COMPLEXION!!! AFRICANS WHO DRESS AND ACT SO INAPPROPRIATE MAKES IT HARD FOR OTHER AFRICAN AMERICANS LIKE MY SELF TO LIVE A NORMAL LIFE IN SOCIETY WITHOUT BEING JUDGED!! IM ONLY 14 YEARS OLD AND IM SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW WHAT THE WHITE SOCIETY THINKS ABOUT THE PEOPLE WITH DARKER COMPLEXIONS!!!! AFRICANS COMPLAIN ABOUT HOW THEY ARE TREATED SO UN FAIRLY AND ARE JUDGED TOO SOON BUT ITS BECAUSE YOU HAVE A TENDENCY TO ACT VERY GHETTO!!! NOT TRYING TO DIS THIS GIRL AND HER “DRESS” BUT REALLY SWEET HEART YOUR GOING TO THE PROM NOT THE CORNER OF 5TH AND WASHINGTON!!! YOUR SETTING A BAD EXAMPLE FOR THE YOUNGER KIDS WHO LOOK UP TO YOU!!!!!
TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT……. PUT SOME DARN CLOTHES ON!!!!!
She looks crazy. I can’t believe a teenage girl would try to pull something like that off. I think the school went to far having her arrested. I personally think if sha had of been a white girl she would have gotten her money back or the school would have found another way to deal with her other than calling the police, but because she’s black the police were called. She shouldn’t have worn teh dress to prom but she should have gotten her money back, missing prom was punishment enough, calling the police took the situation to far.
In the area that I live in, this is not uncommon. The kids don’t where the more traditional styles, instead they try to show how creative and different they are by dressing differently. The biggest thing is that they don’t want to be seen as everybody else. With all the controversy she has succeeded, because she will be that girl with “that dress”. So I can understand why she wore it rather I like it or not.
look i think dat all of yall need to jus let dat gurl b b bcuz i think that dress iz hot i would try to waer it to the prom yall shouldnt b comin at dat gurl dat wat jus let her b cuz i waer stuff lyk dat al da tyme
proms arent for sluts hunny sorry….go put some clothes on!!!!
I think that this dress is not “prom like” i guess it might be cute for a different event like maybe a club or something but you should already know when your putting that on that its not appropriate for a school prom and also know that your going to get kicked out. I dont mean to be bashing on the dress or girl i just think that i wouldnt have been suprised if I got kicked out of a prom for wearing something like that even if i thought it was stupid that they wouldnt allow it.
This dress isn’t THAT bad. Going to a prom in it might be alittle wierd. But it is a very cute dress. I have seen styles like this everywhere. It is very trendy. But I think accessories would make it more “acceptable” but controversal. I really think this dress has potential to be very glamorous.
I have a half and half response to this. I think it is very sad tht this girl needs so much attention that she is willing to expose herslef in such a mannor. I also think we should not judge because again you don’t know where she has come from or where she was raised.
OM MY GOSH GIRL THE PROM IS SUPPOSED TO BE FANCY AND ELEGANT
that dress is def. not 4 a prom
Who even invented the dress? Where are the parents for this young girl? She is so young and has much of her life to live. Wearing that on the corner? She wouldn’t have much time left. Someone needs to help this girl before she destroys her life. There is much more to life then romance, sex, and beauty. Girls of this decade think life is about popularity and getting some. It’s NOT!
NO one should wear something like that especially someone that is under age. What is really sad is no one can spell. I can spell and I’m only 10 years old.
LOOK ITS SO SAD TO SEE SOME ONE DRESS LIKE THAT THERE IS A SLIGHT DIFFERENCE FROM FASHION N LOOKING SLUTTY.. THAT IS A OUTFIT GURL ON THE CORNER WEAR WAITING TO MAKE SOME MONEY!!!!YEAH ITS HER BODY BUT HOW DO YOU EXPECT GUYS TO RESPECT YOU IF YOU ARE SHOWIN ALL YOUR GOODS. TENNAGERS HAVE BECOME TO WILD WITH THERE OUTFITS THEY THING THE LESS FABRIC THE BETTER THEY LOOK.
hey, i say if you got it flaunt it….But not when your stillunderage..wheres the class these days lsdies!!
ummm for one i can say that you dont judge a book by its cover. this girl could have gone through some things that we all cant even imagine. so all the bad commets wont help. you dont knoe where she comes from. maybe she just needs someone tp pay attention to her. so i dont think that anyone should be criticking her. thats up to her and GOd
OMG..[[homie wat da hell she can wear what eva it is she fuken please..she ain’t no lil gurl..im pretty sure she knew wat she put on herself..soooo funk it!!!!…]]
As a college age girl, it makes me sad that at high school prom girls are exposing themselves like this. It’s sad that she had to miss her prom (thats something that only happens once in a young girls life) but it seems that her being arrested took the situation a little to far… I just wish we could keep young under age girls innocent as long as possible.
Its high school(not club)dress code.. what crazy girl thinks that would meet high school dress code standards.
I mean its her life. And if she feels confortable in it then let her wear it. I mean your not the one wearing it she is
I think most of the comments on here are quite foolish. Teens are not the only individuals who work in the fast food industry. This young girl can not be judged by anyone. What she chooses to wear is her business and her choice. I agree that we do not know her background or why she chose to wear this dress. The dress is not what caused the uproar. If you read the article for what it says and not who is involved, you can make more accurate posts
wow yall feinin its not that serious ive seen famouse pple in less clothes then that and they get put on the cover of magazines for it so leav the girl alone….gosh(nepolean dynamight moment) lol
It looked like something Christina Aguilera would wear!
ok it seems lyke yall r cummin down really hard on y yall askin were the parents r did yall eva stop ta think dat maybe her parents r not around or maybe dats how her mom raised her u neva know so unless u know her u shouldnt give her a title personally i wouldnt wear the dress bcuz it shows a lil 2 much n its not ma taste cause i like stuff that cover my body but hey she only a teen n as a teen u make mistakes but u dnt yell at them u correct them
I don’t know if anyone has noticed but, most of the teenagers that are leaving messages on here seem to have no education. Shouldn’t we be worrying about the fact that these kids can’t spell let alone speak correctly and then worry about what they’re wearing. I am sick and tired of dealing with teens that work in retail or fast food places and have no clue how to have a proper conversation or show respect to others. Parents need to step up and do their job! Quit leaving everything up to the teachers!
If anyone bothered to read the story, you’d know she wasn’t arrested for wearing that dress (though the way she looks, it should be a crime). She was arrested for allegedly causing a disturbance when they wouldn’t allow her in.
Anyway, she was probably wearing that dress, because she was coming from work.
That isn’t a dress. It’s a strip of fabric. There isn’t anything wrong with a woman wearing something that accentuates the attributes of her body, but this is not that. This outfit doesn’t say bold and confident. It says, “Here, let me show you everything I have because I am afraid that my natural beauty isn’t enough to make me worthy or interesting.” I would not let my daughter dress like this because I would want her to know that she can be beautiful and present herself as such without having to flash every mystery of herself to everyone.

OH no leave that mess at home…. she looks like a trashy skank…
I think that perhaps you guys should back off a little. You don’t know who she is or where she comes from. Yes, perhaps in your family or community this is not appropriate but that doesnt mean it is not in her family. Perhaps she is a very talented girl looking for a chance in fashion designing and she chooses to go about it in this manner. Perhaps she did it on purpose to shock and awwww….

i almost like the dress. no one have the right to judge you based on wat u wear because their not perfect either. nd as long as u choose your wearings wisly next time youll be ok.
she makes her self look bad and she is letting people call her things by how she dresses, i dont think her parents really care about her if they let her go to prom looking like that.
she looks nasty and trifflin
I DoNT THINK YOU SHOUlD WEAR THIS OuT!ITZ OKAY tO WEAR IT IN A SChOOL PLAY(IF YOU WERE POKAHINESt)… AND PLUS YOU HAVE TO LOSE A LITTLE BIT MORE WEIGHT TO DO THAT SWEET-HEART………AND GiRLS WONDER WHy THEY BE GETtIN RAPED AND KIDdNAPED~
wow!! girl i wish i had the courage to wear a dress like that into our prom but i did wear something sexy too specially when I joined our search for our mr. and ms. prom I had my own critics too but I think teenagers know a days is like that we express our feelings trough fashion in a very liberated way i guest but good luck any ways I hope you’ll going to get your money back………… and tyra you should do this topic about teens know a days and what are there prospective about proms. like if they still want those kind of proms which are traditional and totally boring or a prom which focuses the students own style and fashion…. good luck to your show. hope i could be one of your guest someday when you could tackle teens around the world and there prospectives………………
I just think that the dress was inappropriate for a girl as young as she apparently is to be wearing, no matter what the function was. Surely her parent(s) couldn’t have been aware of her wardrobe choice. What kills me though is all of these women who dress similarly then call a lawyer when a man looks at them, can anyone say “asking for it?”
i think she just tried to hard to look GHETTO and sexy !! Actually she look like a B*TCh
its actually not that bad! last year a girl came to my prom with pasties on thats nothing~~~!!! compared to that!!!
i think all u people need to just back off of the girl you dont know her and you cant judge her so let her be its none of your bussiness
Her dress is very explicit but i’ve seen worst at my prom
This Material looks ridiculous i can`t evn call it a dress.I think the girl who wore this should be ashamed of herself I would never have shown my face to the public. Its not only a matter of your parents caring about what you wear, but its a matter of self respect.
There is less material in that dress than the material in my panties. Where is the Mother?
I’m sorry, but are you sure that it wasn’t the Fashion Police who arrested her. That dress is horrid!!! Looks homemade by a non-professional. Sorry, I just had to say that.
I was thinking where in the world is this girls parents. There is no way I would let my daughter walk out of her room dressed like that. You would think her parents would have more self respect for the way their daughter dresses than that. Just because you have the body does’t mean you have to flaunt it. It’s a rap waiting to happen.
well i am a prostitute and very proud of it and that dress doesnt make her look like a prostitute she looks like a model. i wear less then that to work. you guys should be happy she didnt show up in a full fishnet body suit with nothing under… I went to jail for indecent exposure….
