I disagree with “anyonymous”. Are you saying that single moms have to sell their bodies to suceed? THAT’S CRAP! Single or married, there are always other choices. I’m not saying the fishing job was exactly selling her body, but its was definetly using it. I don’t think “LuLu” was dissing her 2nd job, she was pointing out that letting your breasts be so overly exposed in everyday wear regardless of your job or parenting situation is a bit tacky. But if her students saw her walking around town all the time wearing tops that low and exposing, that in itself IS truly a bad example. My husband is a teacher and our personal life absolutely would affect his job. “LuLu” is right, there are conduct rules in the contract and what happens in his personal life absolutely can affect his job because he IS a role model, in and out of school. A woman can be beautiful and sexy without low cut shirts that expose that much of the chest…I don’t wear turtle necks and sweaters all day but I certainly wouldn’t choose to show that much of myself. Its sad if a woman cannot feel good about herself without low cut, inappropriate clothing.

I disagree with Lulu. I think its her PERSONAL life and thats all their is to it. If a shirt which i think is fine makes her feel good then who are you to say that she is being disrespectful to herself. Thats your opinion..i bet you wear sweaters all day, turtle necks right? Lulu..have you ever been a single mom? I have…it sucks. I think the shirt she is wearing is fine and i think she is a beautiful young lady and losing her job is CRAP!!!!

Well, honestly, regardless of your profession, no one, especially not a mom, should let her “girls” hang out this much. There is a certain level of decency that we should all have and there is no reason to show that much of yourself. It says that you are fishing for a lot more than fish. And you are beautiful and do not need to reveal that much of your body when dressing. Now, as far as your job goes, I am sorry you lost your teaching job. They should have opened some lines of communication before terminating you. Many schools do have it in their contracts though about what is acceptable in a teacher’s personal life and what is expected of them/you. You are an ultimate role model and it may be in the fine print of your contract that your 2nd job, however necessary and enjoyable to you, may possibly violate the terms of your contract as far as decency standards go. Teachers are held to a higher level of accountibility because you have so much infulence on kids, you see them more than their parents do. Good luck, wish you the best.
